I can get a couple of soda kegs. They do not come with any connectors at all.

I believe I need the following:

C02 tank 59.95
pressure gauges regulator 40.95
hose

I think I need to connectors and a tap.

Can someone lead me in the right direction?

CO2 tank
regulator
gas line
gas connector (ball lock or pin lock to match your kegs)
keg
beverage connector (ball lock or pin lock to match your kegs)
beverage line (~5')
faucet

That should cover it.

I just kegged my first homebrew today, I kept reading that most beers carbonate in the 8-12 psi range but my LHBS owner said to set my belgian dubbel to 6-8 psi. It has a lot to do with temperature, too. Colder beer needs less pressure.

Yeah, I'll hit mine at ~40 psi, depending on how much headspce I leave. drop pressure,n serve when ready (a week?).

I also use air compressor fittings at the end of my pressure hose, and can swap out fittings in 30 seconds. (gas-in QD, tire-inflator with QD schraeder valve adapter - for a quick 'foooosh', etc

you can start with a 6 dollar plastic picnic tap, and work up from there. (I still use that one for seltzer, so no loss!)

For me, the threaded QD's are great fro cleaning, and adjusting hose length.
