Completely forgot about pictures (blaming it on the Veuve Clicquot champagne) but we just finished Argentinian red shrimp, steamed, chilled and served with wasabe cocktail sauce; half a LARGE artichoke each with Meyer lemon/garlic aioli; garlic cheese bread on sourdough baguette; and the aforementioned champagne. Yum.
Back when we were in CA we also did freshly cooked Dungeness crab but that's harder to get here in the middle of AZ!
Never blame Champagne especially not from Madame Veuve. I spring for a bottle of Le Grande Dame vintage whenever I can. Not nearly enough, but any excuse I can. I like it better than Cristal and Dom but to each their own.(blaming it on the Veuve Clicquot champagne)

Nothing to see here.
This was made during some epic family drama. Somehow the fuming parties all sat down at the same table and ate it. Very quiet now though.

Started out the day with a cheese coffee cake, then onto shrimp cocktail, rib roast, green bean almandine, roasted fingerling potatoes with rosemary and Perl onions, roasted Brussels sprouts, and peeked looking sourdough rolls, but they were done and crusty.
