I'm not cooking this, but I am definitely going to eat it! Local brewery in Garland TX, Intrinsic Smokehouse and Brewery, has a special this month available every Sunday from noon when they open till they run out that day. I attached the image. I just think this sounds awesome! And, BTW, there beer is very good as well!

I was thinking the same thing the other day. I'm conflicted, jealous yes, but I typically don't like people who are lazier and drink or eat more than I do. It's the competitive spirit that I dislike more. It forces me to better myself:D

Put xanthan gum in ice cream last night. seemingly improved the simple skim milk recipe

Yah I stumbled across that a few years ago and it made a step level improvement in the texture of the ice cream. Makes it less icy and easier to scoop. Also it won't grow ice crystals near as quickly in the freezer.

A mix of guar and carrageenan is generally considered the best for ice cream, although it will give roughly the same results.
 
For those previously interested, use this but not nearly as much chilli powder. Maybe a quarter of what they call for. I add mushrooms to mine along with some heat (a chilli paste my MIL makes). I also don't mash the beans into a refried consistency as they call for. I like texture...

Made six sliders, some regular old sliders and others with brie stuffed inside (adds a creamy sweetness) or veggie based. Bite size...suitable for driving.
