It almost looks like a return, the metal piece that acts like a hinge has a Phillips head tip that is stripped. Someone has had this.Major Bummer! Wonder how that got missed, it appears like something was forced to make those marks.
So sad.

A while back, like 2021 I had a major issue with MB. I will never give them a dime of my money, but I know many, many folks have had wonderful experiences with them, and I did too before that.It almost looks like a return, the metal piece that acts like a hinge has a Phillips head tip that is stripped. Ticket is in. We'll see what happens. Pretty bummed out. I mean, how do you fix this?A while back, like 2021 I had a major issue with MB. I will never give them a dime of my money, but I know many, many folks have had wonderful experiences with them, and I did too before that.
To your issue, it's bad quality control if indeed someone had it before you and you didn't know you were buying a gently used item. Someone must have spotted that before it shipped. Do you think you can fix it? Ask them for money off or a replacement on their dime.
I feel for you, really.
New bracket and trim (if removable). Other than that, new unit. Do they make spares for these relatively inexpensive items? That's the question.Ticket is in. We'll see what happens. Pretty bummed out. I mean, how do you fix this?

I've fabricated things to fix issues like this when something of mine broke. Note: This was when something that I already owned had broken.Ticket is in. We'll see what happens. Pretty bummed out. I mean, how do you fix this?

As noted, this is a new unit, it's not on you to fix it. More Beer should make it right. Hopefully they come through in a timely manner to correct this issue.Ticket is in. We'll see what happens. Pretty bummed out. I mean, how do you fix this?

That's impressive shipping time for sure!14 lbs. of grains just arrived a few minutes ago. Order placed yesterday morning with SoCal Brewing Supplies, first time I’ve ordered from them. They were delivered exactly 28hrs 45mins after placing the order. Decent prices too. I’ll definitely order from them again.
I considered buying those multipacks. You mostly need AWG14, red and black can be helpful plus white. Then some AWG10 also red, black, and white, then a little AWG18. And some AWG14 green and a little AWG10 green. I didn't need much white either. Sorry I'm not certain on lengths. I think I had 25' spools to start and used up the red AWG14. I think I ran out of red AWG10, but it was only 12' or so.Wire, fuses, fuse holders, cable and etc for my panel. Just a few more pieces!

So much to convert from direct fire to electric. I'm wondering if it will be worth it.
The Auber wiring kit would have probably worked for this project as I based on that build. I believe it was $60 and these wire kits were maybe a little more expensive but I'll use the wire at some point. I also have a ton of connectors but I'll need to verify that they will fit.I considered buying those multipacks. You mostly need AWG14, red and black can be helpful plus white. I just rewired mine but stuck to red where originally I used a mix of red and black. The black is useful for following the paths off SSRs and contacts in my opinion.
If you have other projects you might use up the other colors. I finally decided I wouldn't use them so I went with specific sizes and colors.
Have you bought connectors? I used a lot of forked connectors, blue mainly for AWG14 (>50 pieces). The correct fork size is 8 but not always stated in the packs. Then a number of the smaller diameter AWG18-22(?) red forked, also size 8. The size 8 fits many of the screw downs on the components. I didn't like the heat shrink insulation type as it projects the connector out unnecessarily far.
The wire and connectors do start to add up! But even though I liked brewing outside, inside is a little warmer and drier overall.
You could have automated your direct-fired system with a control panel and a controller.Wire, fuses, fuse holders, cable and etc for my panel. Just a few more pieces!

All this extra effort is for a controller. You could have automated your direct-fired system with a control panel and a controller.
Old one out, new one on the way. Hoping the new is not broken upon arrival. As noted, this is a new unit, it's not on you to fix it. More Beer should make it right. Hopefully they come through in a timely manner to correct this issue.
Yeah, I would question anyone with the name Dick can't well.....just saying.Got my free book for re-upping with AHA. Had to pay shipping, but still not a bad deal.

BTW, AHA doesn't do 3-year subs anymore. Just yearly.

The kegerator build I did close to ten years ago, but without the three taps (I've only got two) but my refrigerator case looks nearly identical in appearance. Do you need slimline kegs to fit three inside? I've tried to store 'two serving and one chilling' but the door won't stay closed. The only way I can get three inside is with one standard Corny and 2 x 2 1/2 gallon Torpedo kegs stacked. Sure envious of that sweet lookin' KomosAnd the replacement unit has arrived and is running. I think MB still sent a return. The some of the castor screws were stripped, plastic tray in the rear had a broken clip, inside had some scuffed up areas, and another crack near the door. It is on the corner top and doesn't affect performance, yet. Also, this one wasn't packed using those hard corner plastic protectors like the first was.
But, it is running and went from 61F to 32F in less than 15 min. Working on the tubing and maybe tomorrow I can add the single keg I have filled.

I'd contact them and try for some money back on it or some compensation. That ridiculous to get something new item in that condition. And the replacement unit has arrived and is running. I still have to try. I only plan on having 2 kegs in use, with a possibility for a third. The kegerator build I did close to ten years ago, but without the three taps (I've only got two) but my refrigerator case looks nearly identical in appearance.
