Time for our semi-annual trip to Asheville NC. A short 3.5 hour drive, we should go more often than we do. I plan to tour New Belgium this trip since only their liquid center was open on our last visit.

We're up to 77 of them in the twobrewdogs.com blog; lots of pictures and notes. Last few days we were in Tombstone, AZ and the brewery there, Tombstone Brewing was pretty good. Arrived in Prescott, AZ today and have already tried Prescott Brewing but haven't written it up yet. Always looking for suggestions on our travels. I visited Holy Mountain Brewing in Seattle and Postdoc Brewing in Redmond, WA when I was there a couple weeks ago. I REALLY enjoyed Holy Mountain, they do a lot of cool stuff and don't focus on IPA's. Their Kolsch and Saison was very good, and I grabbed a bottle of "The Ox" before I left but haven't opened it yet (a barrel aged sour Saison w/orange peel).

I didn't have a chance to really sample much at Postdoc as I didn't have a DD with me, so I only had a pint of their Nitro Irish Stout. It was pretty good. They had about 5 IPA/PA's on tap that I wanted to try. I did have a chance to sample the Hazy IPA (NE IPA) and the Rasberry Gose.

No pics, but we did a mini brew crawl out Yakima way this last Sunday. Hit up Bale Breaker, Bron Yr Aur, Hop Nation, and Iron Horse. Great beers at all of them. Bron Yr Aur by far the best; apparently the owners are HUGE Led Zeppelin fans, the brewery name comes from a place in Wales where the band recorded their first album. Was hoping to buy some hops out there but no shops selling them were open on Sunday.

Went to a wedding in Cincinnati this past weekend and had lunch at Mad Tree Brewing, their new location is very nice and very big and spread out! The food took forever, but they were pretty busy. Overall it was a fun trip, I wouldn't have minded the food take so long if I hadn't been so hungover

Outdoor bar and patio area are dog friendly!

Nice place, definitely would go again if I were down that way

Very cool...I haven't been to Moab in a long time, that brewery was awesome, and one of the first micro breweries I ever went to! (Back in 1998! Yikes, has it been that long?!)

Hanging out in Sioux falls at Woodgrain Brewing and Monk's House of Ale Repute. Again. Nice flight at Woodgrain, and a golden strong at Monk's. One more, the Gandy Dancer cask IPA. I'm glad I walked.

Just checked out the 'new' DFH taproom/restaurant in Rehoboth Beach! It's much bigger and more open than the old brewpub...some may miss the rustic feel of the old building, but there are plenty of nods to the old, and acknowledging it's importance, from the hop steps (same hop names as on the steps next door in the old brewpub) to the Emmerson quote that also hung in the tasting room of the brewery years ago...
We were fortunate to get to sit in one of the 5 "barrel" booths that line the sidewalk side of the building. I was so excited to taste the sampler flight I ordered, I forgot to take a picture of it! I had the two brewery exclusives, and the two available aged brews....

And today was indeeed the brewery...we come here every year, but was the first time in a long time for me actually taking the tour. The scale and pace at which DFH has grown is truly amazing. The pics really do have to be panoramic...

First pic is the 200 barrel brewhouse, second is the main fermentation room (something like 18 miles of SS piping in the brewery.) Next is some of the bigger fermentation vessels...the 'smaller' ones are 800 barrels, and the ones further back are 1200 barrel volume!

Finally, as jschein mentioned, free flights! And they had 120 Min available in the shop, so picked up some for the cellar at home!
