Congrats!Listening to a 50 tune mash-up iTunes Playlist I put together to surprise my wife this Friday when we wake up after 50 years of marriage.
Some rock, some country, lots of soul, some funky & fun stuff. But all of it full of memories of the past five decades, of good times and not so great, all of them special in some particular way.

Going to see these guys next week at a local craft brewery in SLO. Always a blast when they come to town.
Damn, such beautiful songs. I've been playing a lot of Nanci Griffith lately.
She would not have been someone I would of normally listen to but after listening one of the songs you posted she is now showing up in my recommendation. The one with John Prine does not highlight her voice well but the others do.

Is that SLO, as in San Luis Obispo? Really love the area out there, and especially like the Wild Horse vineyard and winery. Sadly, it's about 2,800 miles from home.
Yes, San Luis Obispo. It's about 20-25 miles north of me.
I love her so much. My favorite song of hers is likely the least favorite for many people (if they've ever heard it). I think her album Clock Without Hands is the best.

Saw these guys last night at a local brewery. This is one of the songs they played, and I woke up today with it playing in my head.
Sitting on the back patio watching the sun slowly set, sipping a beer, munching on a grilled sausage sandwich and streaming music off my server. This one just came up. It takes me back....
