Ah, a rare Friday off. I get to listen to the college station's Friday "Chicken Shack" show. 2 hours of really, really good classic country followed by an hour of completely off the wall rockabilly.

EDIT: And by "classic country" I mean stuff from the 40s and 50s in addition to the Hank and the Merle Haggard and the Johnny Cash.

Michael! I have to admit, I was a fan. Not of the later stuff, but I loved the movie Ben, and Michael made such a nice song for that. He was brilliant, Frankie Lymon on steriods.

Me too. Used to live in Austin. Every other club you walk into on 6th street has an amazing band in it, so impressive musicians are common. Before he went big time, I didn't really know who he was at that time. Didn't really need to know to realize he was an amazing guitarist...wow. Didn't sort out who he was till later.
