Didn’t get my covid result until this morning so brewing again with my day off. Got sent home on Wednesday due to exposure the week before. Then when I got home they decided that I wouldn’t need to quarantine due to vaccination. But I’d already gotten tested for my wife so couldn’t go back until results showed up. The final result was negative, with an extremely apologetic site manager who is paying me for the two and a half days I was sent home for. And I brewed twice. Kind of a win all around.

OT: this is good.

Good grief. Just found out today that no matter why we call in, it's an automatic 3 days sick time period. Even if you know it's food poisoning or if your car broke down.

Cleaning out the fridge in hopes of a beer vaca

A big cup of cheap Malbec because my pump has frozen....sigh. WTH!!

Did everything right, turned off the pump before boil, rice hulls for drainage and added my oats slowly. It was rocking 'n rolling before the boil, then now nothing. Sigh.

Saved 22L of wort, so doing a 'no-chill' but dismantling my robot brewer for the weekend...sigh.

Oh well, could be worse. I still have some wine, and also 20L of a beautiful Red IPA I could bottle this weekend.

Careful when leaving town. One gets excited for home....I received two demerits from flexing my car on springs on said 'on-ramp' and a $375 fines for 2 hits on photo radar....alll on a Sunday going home from the Okanagan.

The RCMP saw/watched me consume 1 beer at a local pub. I wasn't even driving for the lunch date.

Not sure if it's a thing in the USA, but photo radar is a thought.

Or, rip your car right past them, and get home faster! Zoom!!
