Definitely took my mind off the flavorless beer. I like Lite/pickle better than Lite. Bonus - beer soaked pickle at the end. But, the article was a bit overselling.

I'm pretty sure I don't think I get your post--If I'm being honest, I flat out don't. I'm sure it's awesome, subtle, cutting edge and appropriate....To date, no one's ever accused me of being the smartest person in a group! I saw your "grasshopper" reference, jumped on Kwai Chang Caine from Kung Fu.
By the way, I learned a lot from that show. My parents had their hands full with seven kid. I was six of seven and by that time, my mother was understandably tired of the whole ordeal.
PS. Your cooking and cooking photos are admirable.

I'm 55, though spiritually, I have no age and I'm okay with everyone being shocked by that. Anyway, I really did get some sage advice from that show. Specifically, that violence is the wrong direction.

Basically a brine for the pork. I’m sure it will turn out great. I brine the turkey every Thanksgiving and it is awesome
