Not a fan of this. Glad to try and see what the hype is about.
really that’s literally one of my favorite beers ever lol this is genuinely why I love craft beer. Everyone has their own preferences and there are beers out there for everyone

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate it for what it is but it's not my cup of tea. All wet hop beers taste like grass clippings to me, but I will have to say it was the least offensive one I've had to date.
Now speaking of beers that got me into craft beer would be New Belgium's Ranger IPA. I had it over 10 years ago, maybe closer to 12-13 when I was in San Francisco. NB didn't distribute to NY for many years, but when I started my new job (9 years ago), I found it at a beer store in MD. I would always bring back a 12-pack every month I was gone. Then they started distributing to NY and stopped making it! Although I see they brought it back in their new seasonal mixed 12-pack, but I'm not crazy about the other beers in the box so I haven't bought it *yet*. I should do a clone brew of it soon now that I'm thinking of it.
Like you said, different strokes for different folks, right? Or something like that. Cheers bud!

Dry dock Peanut butter cup porter. Probably the best PB beer I've had not brewed by me. Please excuse my bias lol. View attachment 651494

I could go for one of yours right now. I thought you sent two peanut butters but you sent two hazelnuts. Admittingly, I cried a little, lol

And decaf chai...I wanna go back.

Peach brandy barrel berliner. 3.4%. Really really good. View attachment 651461
Where’s that brewery located? I’d like to try that next time I’m there to visit my brother in law. We usually end up at Wrightsville beach a couple times when we’re there. Last year we stayed in the beach houses at Johnnie Mercer’s Pier. I’ve been to the Front Street Brewery and thought it was good.

Its near wrightville beach right off oleander and greenville loop. Their core line is trash, but the brewery only stuff is really good. I also highly recommend New Anthem, Wilmington Brewing, and Flying machine.

Sampling my new chocolate hazelnut porter. It’s a little young but it’s neither very chocolate nor nutty... tastes decent, just not as flavorful as I hoped. I do get a little bit of boozey taste when it warms a little. I soaked 8oz of cacao nibs in just enough vodka to cover them for a week before racking the beer onto them for another week before kegging. People say vodka is neutral/ tasteless, but I can always taste the alcoholic “bite” when it’s added to anything. Is this normal or am I more sensitive to the flavor than most?
