I bought a 6-pack of New Belgium "Honey Orange Tripel". Did not realize it's 10% ABV (I thought it would be about 7 or 8%) Drank 2 bottles. It's way too thick and sweet. Does not taste as boozy as it actually is, but it's not all that enjoyable either. It would be a good beer if it was a more bitter or a little dryer. Might be good cut with some seltzer water or BMC lite beer.

Rotunda Raspberry watermelon sweetart. It’s very good and finishes with a sweet tart taste. Must be fermenting in the can still. It’s way overcarbed and I put 1 on the side for the next FOTD and the top popped so I doubt I’ll be offering this up but it is a nice sour.

Sours I have been digging lately so they haven’t really made it to the cellar. [emoji51] Although I’ve read mixed opinions on cellaring sours.

Cans are tricky as you may have seen, but you should be okay with sours that are bottled. Those should hold up without any major issues like explosions and whatnot. The cans end up getting dings, dents, have creases, etc and that helps cause the explosions you see in posts (usually where I'm involved, doh).

He has the luxury of being pretty close to the source. Since they started brewing it at Two Roads I feel like their distribution has blown up huge. Also it has allowed morons to go "Well when it was still brewed in Vermont it tasted better." Then I take their Sip and slap them and drink it.

Yeah I know @Remmy is local to the source which helps. The "Sale" price at our local store is $16/4-pack, but normally $17. I'm not complaining about being able to get it now, just posting what I was thinking. Cheers!

I'm sure we aren't the only ones jealous of Remmy's preferred "water" and the price they get over there. As a matter of fact I am going to go see if my beer store has any of that water in today after work. But we pay the prices you pay basically, I just think it is funny how in a year that beer went from "Oh my god where did you find that?!" to "oh its not rare anymore poo poo" you know those juice sharks and their marriage to exclusivity. Cheers.

Funny thing about that is the price is cheaper AWAY from the source. 4-packs go for $13.99 here. $17.99 in Fairfield (my buddy is a resident and buys them there regularly). I usually buy him 4-packs and he picks them up when he comes over here. I haven’t seen this much Sip in stores until about 5 months ago. Prior to that, most shops would get 1-2 cases per week, max. They’ve definitely ramped-up production.

More Sea Hag. Pint #6. Gonna be a good night.
