Another one

Where did you get Mackinac at?!? I need!
Was wondering if anyone would catch on to the Mackinac name drop.

There's an HBS in Humble, TX, called The Grain Cellar...he's got the hook up.

I live an hour away from there, but work takes me by there at times, so I swing in there and pick up ingredients etc.

He has a web page, and I think a blog too...good guy.
You can probably Google him.

Another pic of the Mackinac in the secondary.

yesterday was my first time having a "blonde stout" or whatever people like to call it. I've heard of them before, but never had a chance to taste it. A great local brewery, BeerLab HI, brewed up a batch called Jedi Mind Trick. This beer was light as a blonde ale, body of a stout (nitro), and the smell of cofee and cocoa. My mind and taste buds weren't matching up, it was definitely a mind trick. good stuff!

Cool name. Wonder if they used lactose/lots o flakes then extract for the flavoring. what was the adv?

BeerLab HI does a great job! I was there a few months ago and visited them on a daily :)

@PianoMan They wrecked my tomatoes on the deck last year, so I didn't bother this year. Took them till now to realize there was a sugar dispenser they could rob. I think my garlic cinnamon "tea" helps, but I didn't use it (yet). Makes me want a drink. :p

Down here, it's a difficult hop variety to come by.
I wasn't really looking for it, I just wanted a citrus hop forward IPA (more flavor than bitterness), and he pulled that out for me. I was planning on Citra & Cascade.
You're in the middle of it...you should be able to glean some from the fields.

Pre carb, bottom of the keg, 1st pull after crashing...couple of pints. Pretty cloudy.

Citra @ 20 & 10.
Cascade whirlpool for 30.
Mackinac dry hopped.
