Now you're mimicking SWMBO...she stopped drinking coffee & started on those energy drinks. Being a type one, to me, isn't a good thing...I have a developed habit of waking early, since my days getting up at 3:30AM for work at Ford.

Yeah I wish I could get into the habit, but I only have to get up at 3am twice a week. Normally 5 or 6. As for the energy drink problem, I just don't like the thinness of coffee, never have. That being said I love coffee in my beer!

I'm thinking maybe that's her thoughts as well? I even bought her salted caramel coffee at get-go the other morning, with caramel macchiato creamer. She drank only a little of it before we went out shopping. It was last Friday, retiree pay day.:mug:

Moved on to water.

More on the coffee thing, my big problem is that I like the taste of black coffee, but not sweetened and creamed, so I can't even thicken it up.

That being said, I'm young and don't typically need any caffeine...just the past couple days because I was staying up for the holiday weekend festivities and getting up before 3...

Word, man. We've been getting hooked on S. Pellegrino sparkling mineral water of late. Tasty stuff & quite refreshing...besides minerals we need. I like black coffee cold with my pills early in the morning while booting computer. Then, when wife awakens, fresh hot coffee, regular. I love a smooth, roasty cup or two in the morning.

Hoppy heaven...Cigar city / Boulevard Tropical IPA

Gonna drink the last PM Irish red with pain pill & belly trim XP. The last one floats out fat & other things body doesn't use @ 60% absorption rate. Supposedly. :mug: 1st beer since February...

HB gose, could use a touch more coriander. Was supposed to meet a potential buyer for my car, but he cancelled because of work and we rescheduled. Only put it up for sale 2 days ago, so not bad.

Lemonade. No beer taking it easy this week trouble with memory especially because of concussions, been getting me in trouble with a certain someone.

Other hand I think I may buy a 20L charred oak barrel, thinking it'll come in handy for aging stouts or dare I say an imperial IPA ;)

Is this real life.....

Sadly yes.
That's the way it goes when you're told you have double the hormones of a normal man, but getting older & loosing so much of them at such an alarming rate, it doesn't help. Gotta loose weight for hip replacement, infected leg healed finally, & blood clots in same leg clearing. This isn't a life, it's somebody's idea of a sick joke!

I had memory troubles years ago after rehab & AA for drugs & alcohol. Found out in rehab what the underlying problems were & fixed those. We were the one out of 10 that stayed together...but...I had a lot of black holes in my memory that caused problems with friends & family. One buddy was a marine strung out on coke, I couldn't remember him when he came to me for help. He killed himself shortly thereafter! Now I have to live with that. Lessons learned I'll not forget. So from then on, if any of you need to talk or something, I'm here! Seriously. Like the song, if any of you are successful...be always on your guard! For success walks hand in hand with failure...on Hollywood boulevard...:mug:

Gearing up to walk 9 in 90 degree heat.
Loading up on water like I am a camel!

First of all I'm sorry to hear about that but you are a good man for the open offer for all HBT'ers! Cheers to that brother nothing like experience that can help another.

Seltzer water as I'm at work, but it's gonna be a rough one I'm at a store I don't normally work and they have a better beer selection, I'ma splurge tonight haha

Just had my first beer in 30 days, a coworker's HB session Pale ale. I helped him brew it about 2 months ago and it came out great. Now I'm drinking my Rye DIPA I brewed right before I stopped drinking, the Amarillo/Simcoe are coming out quite nicely on that spicy rye malt. A chance to give the liver and kidneys a break every once in a while is a good thing, but man drinking beer is great! Cheers! :mug:
