The Hourglass Schizandra. It's a bourbon barrel quad aged on tart cherries and Schisandra berries. This is the first bottle they put out, and does not disappoint. They did a online release that sold out in a few days, I managed to source a second bottle to send to Texas in a couple of weeks.

Ah you shouldn't have. I don't know what to say. Hope JK lives up to the hype?!

The doohickey is for removing wax from bottles, but makes a nice cap holder. Some caps are actually 'artistic and ****'.

I have no comment on the advert, but if my buddy showed me that I'd punch him in the berries, or hire Billy to do the same.

I drink a lot of trillium's stuff ( I live close ) and this is pretty spot on. I did step up some yeast from a bottle of FPPA for this, not sure if it makes a difference, the recipe calls for WLP007 or GY054

And then judge again on a larger open comp on Saturday. Decided I'll bail on the BURP Real Ale fest (sorry @banesong ) simply because I need the judging points to try and hit National on the schedule I set for myself, and this comp always seems to add an extra flight and it's hard to turn down 1.5 points. Assuming I'm still local, I'll hit the real ale fest next year

Suck. I am missing the festival too, likely, due to a memorial service. Might make the tail end. Competition is tonight, will at least make that.
