Just had Bell’s amber/red ale for the first time this evening at world of beer! I was impressed, Two Hearted is a go to though.

Still enjoying my Cooper's 'Real Ale' Experiment. Finally bottled my Lime-Ginger Vossy. It's my own brew, and I named it too...tested at 7.8%! Have 10 more 750mL bottles as well...woohoo!

Waiting on carb, but it generally looks like a fizzy lime drink ( Start 'moonshine' music here "Hard times, and troubles on my mind..." )

I just killed off my final beer for the night which was a homebrewed smoke beer with 60% home smoked pils malt over oak and mesquite. Really tasty. I am happy with having a smoky presence without an ashy or harsh smoke flavor.

I made this one recently: American Pale Ale - Cascades / Orange Pale Ale

Nice orange and lemony notes. The Cascade hops are just enough. I'm going to keep it in the rotation.

This hard cider came from the apples on my tree, and whatever yeast was on the flesh. It's about a year and a half old now, and the harshness is mellowed out a lot.

So this is what I called my Mystery Wheat because I had no idea how it would taste. I changed up another recipe to replace the standard hops with all Citra and it uses a Hefeweizen yeast so I was a little concerned about the potential for clove or banana flavor. No worry. Turned out great. It’s a keeper for sure. Not over hopped, but you can taste them for sure.

I have started a habit while brewing a beer to have a commercial version of the same style kind of as a reminder of the taste profile I am going for. Today I am brewing a dubbel for the first time, and revisiting an old friend that got me started on craft beer in the first place.
