Deep fridge pull. Not sure of the year of this one, there’s no date on the bottle. But tipping the bottle over I see 11 embossed in the glass. So maybe 2011? Could be I suppose since I have quite a few older bottles in the garage fridge.
You know, weight's a funny thing. I weigh myself every morning at the exact same time under the exact same circumstances. After drinking last night and stepping on the scale this morning, guess what? To my wife's, "FU" after hearing this, I lost a pound. Yep, lost weight. Well, why not try an experiment? Down the hatch they go!

Well, it might have lost the popular vote as my contest submission for Illusive 's 9th birthday HB competition amongst my home brew club, but it's definitely the beer I'll reach for in a 33°C garden in the evening.
3.5% Table Saison with BRU-1 and Nelson. Also might be the palest beer I've ever brewed. Pilsner/flaked wheat/malted oats/rye malt.

4.6% single hop, Citra hazy pale from Maverick down in Hampshire
Lovely beer, great body, smells and tastes like a freshly opened bag of citra hops. I can not immediately recall the last time I had a beer with this kind of impact

TJ's vintage spiced ale 2022 by Unibroue. Malty, a little sweet, a touch more spice and less dark fruit than the 2019, 9%. Tasty!

It just goes to show, sometimes you need to dig deep into the bierhoard to pull out the real gems. In this case, a “Lost Can” of Lost Coast Brewery’s PILZ!
Beermeister32 is indeed a dedicated Pilsner lover. Anytime I can find other breweries out there making excellent Pilsners, I’m in! I actually drank one of these last March when I was doing the "West Coast and more" Pilsner search. Lost Coast is out of Eureka, California. Eureka is a coastal area with some of the twistiest roads getting there, either up the coast or over the hills. I can remember years ago we did a bunch of work on the Pelican Bay State Prison, Crescent City - not too far up the road. Thankfully, I was able to take a quick hop on a regional flight from San Jose to Eureka, I’m not sure I wanted to do that drive again. Barf!
Lost Coast has the recipe dialed in too – Using German hops – Tettnanger and Hallertau Mittelfrüh - which are responsible for much of its classic flavor profile. PILZ is a 5% ABV Lager, again, threading that needle in the 4.8 – 5.1 or so ABV range for classic Pilsners. Decent head, clarity and good lacing, this is a great beer, snag yourself a few cans next time you’re in the singles aisle or better yet a sixer! Prost!

Deserve this after my 1st walk since the calf tear 3 months ago, 4.5 miles. Town Lake is nice and flat with no rocks which helped the success rate. Speaking of success, Congratulations @Hoppy2bmerry!
