From @FoxPaw - it's held up well to aging. Very good Scotch Ale. Sköll!

Pale Ale in the works

Huh, wait, what? 6.5 days? Grain to glass? Surely you can’t be serious. And are you cold crashing and/or force curbing in that span too?
I’m 100% serious. Pitched a 1/2 of kviek Loki by Imperial at 94 (temp range is 65-100) and in 36 hours I went from 1.051-1.011. It also cleaned its self up in 12 hours. So I was able to soft crash day 3 to drop yeast. Dryhop day 4 for 36 hours. Cold crash and force carb in 6.5 days. It’s def a work horse. As of now, I’m not sure the esters are my favorite but it’s def solid

Man pshankstar so sad to hear. Its stings so bad. At some point we couldn't keep Ra alive through his suffering. That's the part that really terrors me up. They will suffer and tough anything out, out of love and dedication. Much more than any human. It was hard but we put our cat down early because many had told us how badly they regretted having their animals suffer for longer than needed.

I know you know all this, but teary eyed telling you this, the right thing might be duelly one of the toughest and most compassionate decisions you will ever make. Idk maybe cats and dogs are different, either way, I feel your pain. If we all had half the strength, love, courage and spirit of nyla we would be upgraded. The only good words I have is that in two months after Ra passing I was better. G-d bless nyla and the rest of us and may her life help remind us all how blessed we are to have each other and our loved ones. OT I am drinking my tears for nyla, pshankstar and family and Ra.

Shout out to all the dogs...Thanks for making our lives better!

Protien smoothie with 10day gravity checks of the RIS and Quad. RIS at 10.11% vs 10.5 intended. Quad a bit lower at 9.06% but could secondary w/cherries NOW it's sooo good! RIS a bit hot and needs more time. Doing nothing yet. Will resuse these yeast cakes one more time.

I feel like I’ve been dragged through the wringer this week, so this seemed appropriate.
To Nyla who crossed the rainbow bridge today. You may be gone but never forgotten. We will miss her but we are thankful she is no longer suffering. She was my best friend on four legs.

First glass of the cider made by dumping onto the yeast cake from my wheat beer (Munich Classic yeast). Pretty dang good! Well carbed, clean, crisp, and has just a slight sourness at the end, but in a good way. Not back-sweetened. Pretty happy with this for about $6 worth of store-bought apple juice and a little FAJC! (It was just a 2 gallon batch.)

@pshankstar: I just saw your post above this one. I'm so sorry it was Nyla's time to leave you. I'm raising this glass to all the furbabies out there, past, present, and future!

Wife just mentioned the firework display we were at in Kyle, Tx last night hit CNN. At the end, could see several going off close to the ground. Think there's a Twitter feed but here's a snapshot of what we saw. Looked awesome..and no one hurt.HB Peanut Butter Stout (Extract PB).View attachment 634240View attachment 634241

That’s the malfunctioning display that gave a nice finale as a result, yeah? That’s a win in my book.
