Ha. Drinking imports on Independence Day! My buddy brought Molson Canadiens to the fireworks.

Local brewery "Jailbreak Brewing Company" has made a Bohemenian Pilsner, called "Czech the Technique" that I've grown fond of very quickly. They've been guilty of over filtering some of their ales in the past, so I noted with interest that this beer has a cold haze, and for lack of a better term: it has legs! I think they probably started with RO water, because it has that sharp clean taste I associate with Czech lagers.

My own take on a Czech pilsner is lagering: the second edition of "Czech Your Privilege" (R). :mug:

Should I be pouring HF from the taps at the general store in town into a secret container and selling it on the black market? I mean I'm starting to feel guilty that I can get HF any day of the week.

I believe the traders focus on the bottles mainly as they are less perishable.

Also, can we be best friends?

In honor of the Great Orange One's meeting with the Czar of Russia, we broke open two bottles of our Tootin' Putin RIS. Over 6 months old, it is a nice way to end a day of boating and fishing on the Mighty Mississippi. Cheers!

Nice!! 😊 But no PIC?

Of the meeting, the fishing, or the beer?

The first is available online. The second, no pix, we caught one bluegill, many bass, one sheepshead, and one yellow perch. And some snags, a clamshell, and lots of bait stolen, so who knows. The perch was a little sautéed starter, with shrimp on the barbie for the main.

Taking a pic of the beer after dark is like taking a pic of a black cat in the coal mine at midnight, but I tried. No Russian artifacts, so you get the Gansu Flying Horse instead. And our label, with full credit to Berkeley Breathed.

Cheers!

Stumptown Tart Blue berry Black raspberry. The tart cherry is better but this is still yummy.

Tasty.. edit:

If this is the ginger lager you asked about too much candied ginger for me. Needed sushi

Yep. Was curious. I love Surly beers typically, but hadn't tried that beer camp lager.

On the coffee now, heading to a few breweries tonight.
