More water. I have a headache. I think I'll have a beer soon...against my better judgement about not drinking today.

Anyway, I could start a thread on this but I think it may be a silly question. I intended to put a 5' long brew table on the 8' wall of my shed. The walls were supposed to be 8' high, but they're 7'. No way to change that. If I put the wall on the 8' side with the window (closest to the electrical box) then is it silly to basically block the window with what will probably be half of the mash tun and half of the BK? I think I'm more of less thinking about safety. I was going to put blinds on the window and still can if I want, but I wasn't sure if it was a bad idea somehow.

The window sill is 42" from the ground. The alternative is I was thinking of an L-shaped brew table in the left corner as pictured.

I need to keep my control panel and sub panel on the rear of the building and it is preferred (also probably what I'm priced for) to keep it near the corner closest to the house, which is the left corner if you're looking on at the window.

Holy Crikies! I didn't realize you were THAT involved with your "shed"! Impressive! Regarding drinking my beer, if it's kegged there...I can't drink 5 gallons of beer fast enough to drink it all fresh...and I know very few people that drink around here, so you would be better able to spread it around for feedback!

On Coke Cherry Zero.

LOL it was 40F there when I took the photo. But I see your point.

There is no overhang on your roof !?? OMG weeeird... :cross:

After seeing your dimensions, I think the corner table is definitely your best option. Just curious what type of drywall you will use or if you've considered that at all.

5/8" fire rated sheetrock maybe with FRP wall board?

Nah...Corning R19 insulation, baffles up in rafter cavities, just standard finish sheetrock, mudding, and priming ready for painting. I'll be using semi-gloss paint so it is easily cleaned. I may install tile one day, but more than likely, I won't. There is an option for these tile boards that I saw. I may consider that as well. I'll have the window, the door, and a 440CFM vent fan that has only one bend and less than 3' of ducting. So it'll work very well.

Firerated and all that seems overkill. The L shape table felt like a good option instead of fighting with my pots to open the window and such. I could put the table on the 10' wall, but that left me only 3.5 feet between the table and the sink, while not a huge issue, I think I'll have more brew space doing an L table.

@mattmmille, when it is done, you have to come brew with me...as long as the Mrs is okay with that.

More water.

Sample of my India Red Ale. It is not as red as the first batch I brewed. It won't likely be one I send off to NHC. Either way, it is tasty but sure did finish low, 1.004.

No that's cool, was just wondering is all. Once I have property of my own I'll build a SIP shed with the FRP wall board interior so just curious as to what other people do. There are a lot of options for tiling, just always easier to do it early in your build. I use an extremely cheap laminate tile for the bathroom in the apartment I rent out. It has an adhesive on the back of each tile and can be laid quickly. As well as easily replaced if damaged.

Looks good, can't wait to see more pictures.

You tiled a wall with laminate? Do you have a link to that product?

No no not a wall, I do the bathroom floors with it since it is cheap, quick and easy.

Lowes: Vinyl peel-and-stick Flooring

Oh yeah, I intend to use vinyl flooring because I'll be adding some form of pluming an drainage, plus it is easy to clean and such. It's a floating floor actually. It's weird but cool. The flooring is the cheapest part of the project.

Beer....electrician just came by...work is delayed until at least next Monday...again.

Quick pull of HB stout before we head to the hotel for the night. Wife got a free room and I'm tired of looking at these walls.

Love that beer! Every time I have it I have the sudden urge to drink it out of a brown paper bag.
After a week long hiatus I decided to try a beer. I'm still not 100% better. I know because this Hi-Res tastes funny. View attachment 257243

I want to as well, but don't feel like soaking the bottle after drinking out of it.

I feel it will be much better used to drink HB out of. Might have to get another in CO.

Sending you a PM.

Grains sitting at 150 degs. Worried I didn't get it hot enough. Is that too low for partial mash APA?

Edit: disregard my nervousness, raised it to a comfortable temp.

The Bomb! Man they did a great job on this beer. Excellent. Gonna order out some food. Drink some good beer and Not go to work tomorrow. Do have a Dr appt. so can't drink too much.
