Wicked weed, this particular local bar is on the Appalachian trail, still rent rooms to hikers. Odd little place but it's a 6 minute drive and I needed a chill moment, acoustic on most nights also.

A little tasting sample of a Dogfish Head 60 Minute clone I made recently. I was planning on serving this to guests at my son’s graduation party on Mother’s Day weekend. It just isn’t tasting quite like I think it should. I had a massive hop creep when I dry hopped and things don’t seem right. I’m going to have my dad and brother taste it this weekend to get their opinion. I need to find a sixer of the original and do a side by side. It’s been a long time since I’ve had one. Luckily I have a Pilsner and Hefeweizen that’ll be ready too, as well as a case of raspberry hard lemonade.
While working on one of my other hobbies… model rockets. This one is a little different.

Came across that same Weihenstephaner Helles last fall in a store in St. Petersburg, FL. Very enjoyable. Trouble was, it ‘evaporated’ much to easily.

Isn’t it too early for any hatches? I never have luck with flies in NY before end of April. Usially I will just float some “eggs” on the fly rod until then.

In SW Alberta, there are midges year-round, but I had spent about 2h tying this particular Moonshine. The same moment I finished the fly, the snow started, so onto the mighty Bow River I went. It seemed fitting, with the silence of the snow with rapids all around.

Barrel & Beam Heritage Farmhouse Ale - 6,9% and really wonderful beer. They are out of Marquette Mi and this is my first go around with them. I started out looking for Jolly Pumpkin's Oro - but struck out. A kind lady at the store suggested this beer, and I hve to thank her!!! This is a VERY drinkable and smooth beer - yet a bit sour, a bit funky, a bit malty, a bit-o-everything good! Quite nice.

Peter's Brand Dutch style Pilsener. After a day working the races, it's a pretty refreshing beer.

Gotta get some natural light on this beer, nailed it, good feeling. Hb neipa, 7.8% touch of simcoe, citra and nectaron the rest of the way.
