First pour of my American Wheat, with orange zest, kegged on Thursday. Still tastes a bit green. The orange is detectable but just barely. I guess that’s a good thing as I didn’t want it to overpower. Looking forward to seeing how this ages over the next few weeks.

It seems that my newest friend Mort, the dead deer, was dragged away by the DC Department of Public Works today. Why is it that whenever I make a new friend they hasten to go away? I thought Mort and me really hit it off last night. He was an amazing listener. Aw well, nothing lasts forever, I suppose.

A few months ago I was playing around and made some cider with DADY. Just took the first sip of it. Has all the mouthfeel and taste of water. I just now put 5 gallons of real cider made with cider yeast on tap, so I do have that.

I've gotten that before. Preparation was incorrect. They must have shaken it instead of stirring. I'd have sent that one back.
