I have brewed close to 70 batches on this system using basically the same procedure and for some reason today it decided to boil over:confused:

It was the second of a double batch of IPA, I had brewed the first half yesterday so the process was identical except 32 minutes into an hour boil it pukes out the top hatch. Pretty impressive to see it happen but not sure why today was so different from yesterday. Guess I'm gonna keep a closer eye on the boils now.

Those worts are tricky bastards. There are so many variables the tiniest change in which can change the thermodynamic properties of the system. Guess you just got lucky today. If you don't already use it, check out FermCap-S.
