I've bought 5 ounces eash of mosaic t90 and cryohops. Both packs arrived unlabelled. Haven't opened them yet as brewday is a little way off, but when I do will I easily be able to spot the differences? Would hate to mix them up

I've never used Cryo hops but I would assume they're pelletized and the "grain" would be much finer than a T90 pellet. Also one should expect the relative character expression would greatly favor the Cryo hops so aroma intensity should be a dead give-away...

Cheers!

I've used Cryo-Mosaic and Cryo-Citra, and as far as I can recall, they looked the same as T90 pellets, but the aroma was much more intense. It'd be pretty sad if you needed to open both packages and smell them to tell which is which.

When you say they're unlabeled, do you mean they both say "Mosaic" or they don't say anything? If they don't say anything, I don't think I'd ever order from that place again. That just seems like a really, really bad policy. Obviously if you ordered Mosaic, Citra, Fuggle, Tettnanger, and El Dorado and none of them came labeled, that'd be a huge problem, but even if you only order 1 hop and it came unlabeled, in my case, that'd mean I'd need to create my own label for it since, like many homebrewers, I store hops in my freezer, so no label means I have no idea what variety it is or what it's alpha acid content is. And 5 ounces is a decent amount of hops too.

Yeah both packages are completely unlabelled unfortunately. I really don't want to open both packs, but its not the end of the world. One pack is for use in the whirlpool and the other for dryhopping. My main concern is getting them mixed up and effectively doubling whirlpool hops and halving the dryhops
