bottle release on Sunday if you are around the area for a few days.. just a fyi

yeah i saw that, think i will be heading back home earlier sunday morning or maybe doing the childrens museum, but will certainly try for the release.

I know they only fill their own growlers, i think i heard they will swap a non-TH swing tops for one of their swing tops, is that true?

if you have kids they will certainly appreciate the please touch museum more than hanging out on cricket terrace in Ardmore.

I know they swap out 64 ounce growlers, but haven't had to swap a swing top yet. The glass is only $3 I think, but understand the desire not to acquire another one.

yeah, exactly, my wife will enjoy that more too i am sure.

certainly not a problem buying another growler, will bring one to see if they swap, no issue if they do not, what is a few more growlers in the basement

looks like the swap info is on their policy page
We will continue to fill our branded glassware only, as we are STILL exceedingly proud to put our name on our Strange & Beautiful beer. If this is a very big issue for you, we will be happy to let you “trade-in” any growler for one of ours. Sound good?

Hey all -

I'm going to be driving from Pittsburgh to Philly on 10/30 for a half marathon on 10/31. I'm going to be driving back directly after the run on Saturday so I was hoping on hitting up tired hands for growlers on Friday.

I'm staying near the convention center:

What would be the best way to get over to tired hands from there? Is it easier to hop in a cab or uber it over or am I better off driving? What am I looking at, time wise, for growler fills? Unfortunately I'm super limited time wise, and can't imbibe much the day before a race but I'd love to return home on Saturday and drink the **** out of some growlers.

Thanks!!

I'd stop either before you get down town or on your way out of town on Saturday. either of those solutions are going to take less time than trying to get out to the burbs once you check in on Friday.

Agreed. If you must get into philly first then go the Tired Hands you might also want to consider septa. The train station is right across the road from the fermentaria

Make sure you see how late the trains run though. From what I understand it's not really convenient at night and ends early

Thanks for the replies, guys. I'm going to stop on my way into philly as suggested as it does seem like the easiest way to grab my growlers and pickup every at the expo prior to 7pm.

Yes, this is a public release. I don't believe they've ever done a non-public release.
I thought believers club members sometimes get special releases? I wasnt sure bc the only thing I had heard of it was from believers club members who got emails about it but tired hands hasnt publically put anything up regarding the release

No, there have been no special believers only release to this point, we're just are allowed to reserve bottles and pickup within two weeks and receive the discount that pertains to our level of membership

Do we think that there'll ever be a scenario where only we get crack at things?

doubtful.. I think it would erk too many people, can't recollect if there were any terms in the signup stating there would be something for members only either.. so unless there was, i doubt it happens.

In their FAQ
Is this a bottle club?
It is not. It’s essentially a super charged gift card with some extra perks added because we love you. It gives you exclusive access to Believers Club only bottle releases, glassware, clothing and the ability to purchase any of the bottles we release without having to wait in line.

Cool, thanks for finding it. Well, guess we'll see if they ever make good on that haha
