Hey...I just want to get my **** and go the **** home. I can either spend my time in line in the morning...or do it after noon as 400 people filter through the line. Besides...hanging out with people in the morning's what makes the whole thing fun. If I had Believer's Club...I'd forgo reserved bottles just to get in line or them. I enjoy that stuff. But as you said...most of the time you don't need to show up early. The line usually never represents a number that exceeds what's available. It's just a matter of whether or not you care to be at the end of a long ass line. It's personally not my preference.

Obviously your preference is to get their early and hang out. I, however, don't like people that much--let alone many of the douches in line. That said, the number of hours people like you spend in line before noon greatly exceeds the number of hours people spend in line after the bottles start to go on sale. How many hours do you show up before hand typically? 4 or 5 hours? The person that shows up noon spends no more than an hour and a half waiting for the full line to move through the door.

Yeah...something like that. I suppose it's really just about hanging out for me. Theres usually a small handful I see each time I'm there and really, it's some of the only time we get to hang out, so it's just making use of the early hours of a Sunday I typically wouldn't be using for anything but leisure time activity anyway. Bit of a wash. But yeah...if people aren't your thing, I can certainly understand where you're coming from.

This has not been true of the last few TH releases.
Have people been getting shut out recently? I mean...a few of the days or GuillyVanilly...even with a 36 bottle limit...or whatever it was...there had been people showing up just prior to open and still getting one. Granted, that was midday during the week. I know the Para relases are the most popular...but 400 people would ultimately more people than showed up for the Bullfrog Grrrz release this past weekend. That'd be impressive.

The Para 2 and 3 releases definitely drew over 400 people between people that waited, people that showed up later on and just went in for a table/growlers and the people that came, saw the line, and left. With the chance for 400 people to get bottles it will draw a new crowd of people who previously thought the bottle limits were too low for them to have a chance. Plus its the 4th in a set. If it wasn't my birthday and I wasn't going to be out until 4am the night before I might have considered it for that last reason alone. That being said FT: Para3 ISO: Para4.

not sure why you're including people that showed up just for tables/growlers in your numbers. usually people that show up for bottles are the number that is referred to.. ? excluding those, you might be correct for para3... line was around the block and ended in the ihop parking lot. still not 100% sure the number totaled 400. i doubt it for para2. people definitely got back in line... 50ish or so.

but there might be more people this time than for para3. especially since the limit is 1. dads out in force on this one.

They showed up hoping for bottles but settled for a table/growlers. Many people were line counting and as soon as people saw they were way past missing bottles they abandoned the line and just tried to go inside. Now the number of available bottles/limit gives 400 people a chance and IMHO I think that will draw a new crowd of people who just assumed they'd never have a chance at a bottle. Plus people who generally bring mules will be really going for that angle since its the only way they'll even get a second bottle. But it will be a new crowd. Fewer people in the 1-3 lines are willing to wait for 1 bottle. I'm typically with a group of 10-12 and none of us are even hinting at going. And we represent people that live 2 hours away to people that live 20 minutes away and all agree the time is not worth 1 bottle.

Recently announced on Facebook:

"At 11:00am, we will hand out 400 tickets to the line. PLEASE BE SURE THAT YOU ARE IN THE LINE AT 11:00am. When you approach the garage door, there will be two tables; one to take your ticket, process your payment (cash only), and (if need be) search our database of BC members who have already reserved bottles to ensure that everyone gets access to one bottle. From there, you will proceed to the second table to pick up your bottle from Christian Zellersfield's terrestrial representative, Christian.

If you have reserved a bottle via the Believer's Club, please go right to the host stand to purchase your bottle.

Any bottles that have not been sold by 3:00pm tomorrow will be allocated to our wonderful staff members (who are being very patient with us as we ramp up our bottling program!)...

Tomorrow is going to be a great day. I look forward to seeing you all."

Not sure how everything will pan out, but I think these are steps in the right direction for allowing more people to try these beers. Slightly disappointed that Christian's terrestrial representative isn't a giant toad or something of that nature, but we can't have everything.

What constitutes (if need be)? If they hand out 400 tickets? Either they have to check everybody's I'd against reserved list or they don't. Line will take awhile to process if they check everybody's I'd against

It could be argued that if your opinion is held by many, there may not be that many that show up and nowhere near the wait?

I thought today was fairly painless. I wish I'd known they would continue to hand out tickets after the 11 AM time stated, but that's nitpicking and I'm sure they'll get their system down.

It was definitely the shortest I've ever waited for one of their releases. But that was more likely a result of the one bottle limit than any changes in the selling process.

If anyone cares, believer members who tried to get a general population bottle were denied. I thought it was great, I showed up with my girlfriend just after 11am, she grabbed a ticket, then we had lunch at the cafe. Waited no time at all after lunch for each of us to grab a bottle(reserved and non). Not quite sure why people waited in line after getting their tickets but who cares.

Damn, was considering stopping by on the way home. Didn't think it would be that easy.

Were there ID checks or something?

Not trying to be a jerk, but that doesn't really tell us anything? Suspect a BC member could walk up, pay cash, and be on their merry way no questions asked. I don't recall ever being asked for ID at any prior release.

FWIW, I'm in full support of ID checks. Keeps it fair all the way around to my thinking.

Ahh, sorry! I have been ID'd there before and I'm not really 'young'. Figured they usually ID'd everyone.

I guess we'll hear more later, but I'm hoping this is spread out between both locations.
It is not.

The anniversary is for the OG location. They'll be celebrating their own individual anniversaries at their respective locations.
