New message from Stone today:
"We want your thoughts about something related to these special beers.
Some of our collaborators want to purchase cases, but it seems uncool for us to make them pay in advance for beers that they're going to help us make. We didn't think about that when we created the program, and we basically promised that the only way ANYONE could get bottles at these prices would be to buy “beer futures” via our Indiegogo campaign.
We’d like to allow our collaborators to buy cases of their collaboration beers without having to pay for them in advance like everyone else. They’d pay the same price, but not until the cases are shipped to them. Would you be cool with that?
Please use the Comments section here on our Indiegogo page to let us know what you think."
So it's ok to ask us to fund the beers years in advance but it's "uncool" to ask the contributors to do the same? Honestly I don't know if anyone would have even expected the contributors to have to buy into their own beers, so asking people seems so much weirder than just not asking.
