Square Tubing For Brew Stand

Going to start building a brew stand hopefully here soon an was trying to locate the material for the build. Would this tubing from HD be enough for a 10 gallon system? Thanks.

Damn that is expensive! Look for a local steel yard and give the a call. 16 bucks for 4' of 1 1/4 is alot. I get a 20 foot stick of 2" tubing for 19 bucks. 1 1/2 is like 12 bucks. For twenty feet.

But to answer your question, depending on how u build the stand it should work. I would not do a 5 foot lateral run without vertical supports though. Is this for single tier?

Yes i am planning on building a single tier stand. I would for sure use some vertical bars to add some support. I will check around my city to see if I can find cheaper materials.

It isn't exactly close to you, but http://www.themetalstore.com has good products and great service. I bought all the tubing for my single tier stand there. They'll cut the tubing into whatever lengths you want for a few bucks extra.

Yeah it pisses me off that Lowes and Home Depot adjust their lumber prices based on current market prices, but their metal prices are so freaking inflated. That shiz should be gold plated at $16 for a four footer.
