Heh. Last week I rinsed out the MLT with a little bit of leftover hot sparge water and dumped it in the big snowbank. It made a big hole in the snow. The snow has now receded to the point where the grain bits are sitting on top. The birds are happy.

No more snow. This will be a day outside with the dogs and setting up our new trampoline.

The snow is completely gone from the yard. The only thing that is still around is the big pile next to the driveway - you know, the one where all the snow from the driveway gets piled up. It was taller than me at one point, so it might take a while for that one to go away.

We're getting another 2 to 5 this weekend, just as my roof got close to cleared and my banks were melted down to like 4 feet. The only good thing, the beard stays longer!

Good luck setting it up with that broken hand. Those trampolines are pretty dangerous, hope you have some netting around it. My youngest boy used to jump off a friend's roof onto the trampoline, then into the pool. Good god, I never knew until recently.

Wife and daughter set it up!

Zero snow on the ground almost all winter here in AK. My first day of HS soccer practice is Monday. Thought for the first time in my 10 seasons of coaching we could be outside on the field for day one.

Checked the weather and looks like 8-15 inches starting tomorrow afternoon. Looks like it's back into the gym we go.

We just got another 3 or 4 inches yesterday, but it's going to be 45 today, so hopefully most of it disappears.

About half our snow is gone. Sap if flowing though, and while it was cool yesterday, it's supposed to be into the 50s today. Chance of snow next day or two after that, but probalby only an inch or so. May not even stick now.

Had a nice weekend. Cleaned part of the garage, set up the syrup boiler (AKA beer boiler...) and cleaned about half of my desk off, putting those little projects into their own organizers.

Supposed to hit 70 today.Snow is all gone, but my pond is still frozen over. This afternoon is going to feel great.

I saw a leopard frog in a small pool today while I was walking my dog .I hope to hear peepers tonight or tomorrow evening. Spring is seriously great after a long winter.

It was so warm yesterday when I went outside to work on the car that I only needed a hoody. Cooler today though, just as they said it'd be. Darn it.

Colder and windy today. I'll take it. Promises to help the spa run right after.

Spent time in the garage last night boiling sap and doing this and that. My parts washer survived my forgetting to drain it over the winter and I am washing the last cylinder of moving parts to my 351W.

I also managed to bend a drill bit while drilling out the handle on a SS fire Extinguisher (future 2.5 gallon keg..) and tearing a couple of small holes in my pants leg and my leg...

All in all a fun and interesting day! I cannot WAIT until spring peepers! They are the official sign of spring for me. Usually we can hear them just about the same time we feel like opening the bedroom window at night. And it's so much better now that the neighbor across the road doesn't have a donkey braying in the middle of the night!

Too bad you didn't have a 302C. Install pop-up pistons & 351C heads & you have a "bone yard boss". We have some birds chirping in the morning around dawn. Lots of pin oak around the area. Worked on my Probe tuner yesterday & today. Brakes need new lines, but I still took a spin around the development earlier. Dang, that felt good after not driving since winter started & brakes went south. good thing I put Stabil in the tank. Still gotta bottle my kottbusser, maybe lunch time tomorrow after dragging the car in...:mug:

Still winter here, snowed and blew all day Sunday.
Snowmobile, snowshoes and skis are footwear to get around the property.
Both of our honeybee colonies still alive despite the harsh winter. Been feeding them dry sugar as a hedge against possible starvation.
On a brighter note, the pipeline is currently full . C'mon spring ! Only 2-3 FEET of snow left to melt.

Hit 73F yesterday, though I was stuck at work until 7. Little nippier today though, been around 45F and very windy. My 20mo old son has been spoiled by playing outside for the past three days, and now he want to go out today but he doesnt understand its too cold and windy.

No more snow here, but we did see some powerful magnetic disturbances last night.

Beautiful! We got an inch of snow, followed by hail, which was then followed by rain yesterday. Looks like a chilly next week.

All I want is to brew outside, play golf, and get to use my tractor!

Ah, snow! From mountaintop!
From sky, Your Majesty.
From sky TO mountaintop.

Ahhhhhh, Springtime in Oklahoma. The land of hailstones and tornados.

We had a mild spring last year. Not likely again. I can only hope this season passes quickly.

We do need the rain tho'.
