Developing a recipe, but before brew day wanted to see what you guys thought.
The idea is to make a simple cream ale, with some toasted/biscuit flavor to keep it from being too plain but still light enough to be a session ale.
5gallon batch
5lb Amber Extract
1lb Corn Syrup
1lb American Victory (Steeping)
0.5lb Flaked Wheat
1oz Crystal Hop 60min
US-05
Should end up with 4.9%ABV, OG 1.05, FG 1.015, 7 IBU (this isn't a hop centric ale which is what I'm aiming for)
thinking of maybe doing 0.5lb lactose and 0.5 corn syrup instead of the full pound of corn syrup if it ends up being too close to water in texture.
Opinions?
