So i have read about the secondaries and how folks like to step down. I keep soda water on tap, i want force carb capability, and of course serving pressure. My question is: has anyone used compressor type regulators for the secondary?
I know typical air regs for compressors are high pressure. I am seeing a 1/4mini air reg amf 4100D at a local hardware store. It shows 0-160. I get that you are wanting to dial in exact psi. If i am looking for 12 psi for a serving pressure, and higher for the first two mentioned, how critical do i need to be? If the reg functions with pressure from a diaphragm shouldnt i be able to hit that serving pressure psi and not worry about it?
I know that i can order the secondary set up and just plug it in and no worries. My reason to post and to complicate things is of the shipping. I am in interior alaska. If i can use a replacement reg i buy here local and make my own secondary i will save some coins. Has anyone made their own secondaries or just ponied up and paid the man?
Thanks,
Scott
