My friend is getting married this summer and her venue said they will try and get whatever kegs she wants. She asked for a IPA and sour recomendation. I was thinking of recommending a pale ale and table beer (to keep things a bit more drinkable). Does anyone know what smaller breweries sell kegs? I assume something like Holy Mountain Vesper is not in play. We could probably something hoppy from Fremont? Maybe a lager from Chuckanut? Other recommendations of things that might be for sale to the public?

That will limit the options quite a bit actually.

Fremont and Bale Breaker should still be pretty easy. Reuben's and Chuckanut will be tougher.

Does the venue have a distributor they use or can they go through anyone they want? I wonder if you or someone in the wedding could start talking to Reubens now about getting a Gose keg for the wedding and working with the venue.

They list Chuckanut Pilsner on their in-house beer list. The rest kinda sucks but hey man you get yer pils.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Looks like reuben's gose is publically available in kegs, so if IslandWood can't take care of it themselves, I could always pick up a keg and bring it over to Bainbridge. http://www.reubensbrews.com/kegs-to-go-page Will ask venue to look into Field 41 also.

Going to advocate we go 1/2 barrel Chuckanut Pilsner, 50L Reuben's Gose, and 1/6th barrel Field 41. More style options and more total beer =

150 invited, at least 125 coming. But yes, maybe it would be better to do 1/6th barrel gose, and larger of something hoppy.

But we also have the camp from Friday afternoon through Sunday so we could probably drink through whatever size we end up getting. Probably some annoying rules about needing a bartender to serve you though.

Since they have licensed catering services, they'll definitely have to have someone pour for you, at least during the wedding itself.

that would be very nice! I doubt it sold out, but don't know for certain. If it takes over a week for rusty to sell out then I can't imagine a glass would go too quickly? I'll be up in Seattle in late July, but I doubt it will still be around then.

Just saw your post, was over in West Seattle all day and never made it over. The Fremont Pride stickers were gone immediately last year, so who knows. I'll go check tomorrow for you.

They’ve been quietly putting some out for sale lately. I went to the Mariners game with my dad yesterday and he wanted to stop so we got lucky.
