Scored some brown Grolsch on the cheap!

A buddy of my dad's was getting rid of some beer bottles his father had. I just started kegging but said what the heck, I'll see what he had.

125 brown Grolsch 16oz swing top bottles for $50. Actual Grolsh bottles, not the generic knock offs. Can't beat that so had to snach them up!! :rockin:

Grolsch Amber in the brown bottles used to be my favorite beer. I haven't found it in the past 3 years. Don't know if they quit making it or just quit distributing it here.

They are the ceramic lids too. I just checked e-bay, they are selling them for $3 a piece. Almost feel bad using them for beer.....almost.

Nice. I picked up 4 of them a few months ago at a flea market. I'd never seen the brown bottles before. They are wider and stubbier, and have intricate designs on them. Very cool. Great for the batch of Ed's appfelweizen I did. They were about 2.50$ each. Not too bad. Had to replace the seals. All were hard and cracked. I'd love it if I could find 128. That would be awesome!
