Safbrew S-33

I just brewed my first batch in well over a year and the only ale yeast available at my local homebrew store is Safbrew S-33. I brewed an English Pale ale and now I want to do a brown ale and maybe an alt bier. My question is will this yeast work for all of them or not?

Definitely not for an alt. It's not nearly clean or attenuative enough.

If you want to make a proper alt with dry yeast you'll have to order some k97.

Yep, although US-05 will make a decent alt.

wow, that's kinda weird, are they just out of the usual or is this really all they carry for an ale yeast? Tell 'em to get some US-05!
