run the pump overnight?

Hello all

I'll be doing my first overnight mash in my brewzilla g4 35. Probably 66c all night.

Should I run the pump or not? On the one hand it's a lot of use for the pump. But on the other, it would be good to have good consistent temperature all the way through the mash. Expecially since I now have a kegand Bluetooth immersion thermometer.

I'm guessing the significant changes will take place early in the mash, so the importance of temperature uniformity will quickly decrease, making pumping all night a waste of electricity. Maybe pump for an hour?

the pump probably draws very little. I mash 10 hours while at work. the pump runs the whole time. keeps mash temps uniform.

I'd be more concerned about compacting the mash to the point where it won't flow through and then you scorch wort to the bottom of the vessel. If you do it, make sure it's a micro-trickle.
