Raspberry Wheat Extract

Currently have this in the primary and will be transferring to secondary tonight. My question is why add it on bottling day instead of to the secondary? I would think giving half of the extract to secondary would be good and then add more as needed on bottling day if I want more flavor. Is there a specific reason the recipe states to add on bottling day?

I brewed a similar kit from:

I added the extract when I bottled. I tried a couple over the weekend after being in the bottle almost 2 weeks and they were great. The raspberry isn't too powerful and it's a very drinkable beer. Windriver kits are much cheaper than the others. But they don't offer free shipping.
