Wait, they fill growlers of some stuff without membership? Interesting...

(I'm, uh, also out. Not that I was going to join anyway, but I want to feel like I'm participating.)

They will fill either the Founders or Ambassador growler regardless of if you are the member

Given the ramped up production, the membership seems far less necessary. I'm still in for next year since it's convenient and I like their stuff.

I'm in for next year.

The beers have all been good to really good for me. And being in the South, it's nice to have some quality American sours delivered to your door step, even if the price is steep. I do plan on limiting how many extras I buy.

I bit the bullet and rejoined. Their beers can easily be traded away if I don't like them for $30 for locals/semi rare stuff.

Kind of one of the reasons I stayed in. People like the RB stuff I send out and that goes a long way in my book. Plus I enjoy them and appreciate the chance to buy online without actually going to the brewery all the time.

Doubt any of you lot who dropped out will be suddenly wishing you didn't drop out - but new 'benefits' for members

About a month ago, we sent out a survey to our Ambassadors to provide you with an opportunity to offer your input, ideas, thoughts, criticism or anything else that came to mind. After taking some time to read through the responses, we're going to make a few changes to make for an even better experience. You spoke, and we listened...

Extending Online Sales to 7 Days | We heard from some of you that the 24 purchase window can be a little inconvenient. Totally understandable. Starting with our next bottle release, the window to purchase beer will expand from the current 24 hour purchasing window to a 7 day purchasing window. However, please note that as we extend the length of the online sale, we are not able to guarantee access to the bottles if they sell out online or in the Tasting Room.

Two Growler Fill Options| Starting on Friday, September 25th, you will have the choice of two different beers to fill your growler with. For those members with multiple growlers, you are welcome to choose to fill them all with the same beer or you can fill it with a combination of both. The choice is up to you! We'll continue to update the Ambassadors Fills on the Ambassador Homepage.

Ambassador Homepage | The Ambassadors Homepage is the new spot where we will list everything from the upcoming growler fills and cellar tap selection to upcoming events, and other brewery information as it comes. This way, you have one spot that you can always visit to keep up to date with what's going on! Click here to visit the Ambassador Homepage and see what's going on.

Cellar Tap | Starting Friday, September 25th, we will periodically offer a "Cellar Tap" in the Tasting Room. The Cellar Tap will be a keg of sour beer that we pull from our cellar and probably hasn't been available recently. The beer will not be listed on the menu, but as an Ambassador, you can find out what the beer is by visiting the Ambassador Homepage. Access to ordering from the Cellar Tap is not exclusive to Ambassadors, however, we are only telling you about this, and you are the only ones who will know what is on tap. These beers may last a day, or they may last a couple weeks... it all depends on how well you can keep a secret!

Merchandise | Many of you expressed an interested in some Ambassadors clothing items. We are currently only in the designing phase but you can expect some new gear in 2016 exclusively for you!

I may have been interested in renewing if I had known about the 7 days to purchase thing. But why tell everyone after the renewal period is over? Everything else wouldn't have swayed me one way or another.

I think they realized that the renewal rate was lower than expected and figured they could convince some to rethink their decision. Doesn't make me change my mind.
same. I haven't had anything mind blowing from them yet this year. they've got some things figured out finally that were concerning, like every beer being super acetic, but I'm gonna spend my money differently.

WHY THE HELL DIDN'T THEY TAKE MY BITCHING ABOUT THE PRICING INTO ACCOUNT IN THIS NEW EMAIL?

I'm definitely most excited with more than one growler fill option. About time.

You left out the part about the double secret outside growler fills!

This seems silly.
Is that even new? I've had beers a few times there that weren't listed on the sheet. I figured that was for members, and the bar tender was doing me a solid.

Yes, I agree, they have definitely done it a few times before.

My tasting group and I renewed last night for another year. Most likely will be our last unless we start seeing something other than just oak aged sours, although I have been very pleased with everything I have had to date.

Would one of you kind souls in the Berkeley area be interested in trusteeing for us in 2016? Labels provided and thank you options would include a few thank you boxes throughout the year with fresh Pipeworks cans/Transient beers/Chicago locals.

If so, shoot me a message. Shipping from RB to LA where my buddy lives and then LA to Chicago got steep quick.

Hit me up if this doesn;t get taken care of. I live 30 minutes from RB and also trustee for an out of towner.

I don't see anything wrong with them all being oak aged sours. In fact if I was being charged $25+ a btl for non oak aged sours I'd be kinda peeved

What I meant was different barrel treatments. Syrah/Cabernet/Chardonnay/Bourbon barrels, etc.
I think they do experiment but they leave it for pours in the tasting room. I like it better than the Bruery way of "check out all this stuff we experimented on, buy it from us!!"

Something in the middle would be nice, rather than drinking nothing but the same base.
