Guess it is another friedegg night in the land of hamburger saute.(that is a fignewton of speech, by the way ) . Kinda makes one wonder, yours truly anyway, what it is all about.

All work and no play makes Dland a dull boy.

Get some comfort out of the geologic and paleolithic studies I've been getting into. Kind of puts thing in perspective, big picture wise. We'll likely be seen, if anyone is there to look, as the (relatively) short term but high impact species that changed the eco system. Won't be hard to find us, geologically. What a mess.

Anyway in time our lovely planet will do its best to clean up after us.

Hope the current retrograde in our civilization does not go too far back..

Have a good one, or even a better one, {;

More like a bunker shot in golf, you're screwed either way.

More a morning musing than drunken rambling:

Is it just me, or with all the FaceBook news, aren't there just a few too many parallels with the movie Monsters Inc, energy from fear and all?

I just thought up a huge long response to this that probably belongs in the debate thread, but desisted because my train of thought left the station. Also, beer, and an adorable shelter rescue dog who has decided that my brewery chair is her spot, leaving my not-very-small-butt precious little room to sit. But I don't care.

I wish I had kept track of all the "Wait 'til You See This Rare Celestial Event!" happenings through my life so as to observe how many of them actually panned out, "See" wise. I'm betting at least 85% of such one-time events were obscured by weather, 10% could never actually have been seen from my location, leaving 5% actually observable, with some subset of those "Seen".

Aaaanyway....this one looks like another weather-obscured event here, but maybe someone out along the US northern border might see it...

not sure if this is the "RIGHT" thread....but i just baught a used gas chipper shredder....it came with bag included, and thought "maybe that would be good for the BIAB'ers"?

i don't know what the brewing bags go for, but anyway.....random drunken thought......

I've forgotten all those pretty much but 0D 0A and alt 0176, which I started using when I started brewing.

lol

Whatever works - a saved keystroke doesn't count for much if you can't remember the code.
I've always used alt-248 and literally didn't know your alt-0176 produced the same character :)

Good thing I'm not druck right now because I'd be typing like a madwoman, in another thread that I created, that someone decided to pick apart because he's in the country that pretty much invented the yeast I was posting about, and is being somewhat of a rude word that rhymes with stick. I wrote it to be helpful, not to have it immediately be eligible for the debate thread, sir.

i just was browsing, but seeing @seatazzz mad reminded me of when i was losing weight and told my mom i lost another 10 pounds, and she threw the phone! lol (it was her chalenge though! ;))

don't worry!

you guys keep losing the weight, I'll keep finding it

back ON TOPIC

we pay not one whit of attention to the obviously delusional rantings of a mad man

sorry about your dad, I am proud to call him, "Shipmate"

may he RIP, Fair Winds & Following Seas

my first call home from boot camp to my Mom, she told me "if you use that word ONE MORE TIME, I'm hanging up"

We had our first three daughters one right after the other, which resulted in a couple of years of countless sippy cups half full of juice going MIA at various times. Periodically my wife or I would find one under a bed or tucked in a toy box that had been missing for weeks. We were always disgusted and tried to dump the contents as quickly as possible being careful to avoid even the smell of the contents.

It occurs to me now that, had I known anything about brewing back then, I probably would have been more curious about what was happening in those cups. Probably would have sniffed or even tasted one from time to time. Perhaps ignorance is truly bliss and saved me from doing something stupid. Perhaps I missed a great experience with sippy cup wild wine. We'll never know.... until I have grandkids.

....OR....

You still have an MIA batch of the ultimate Wild Sour Supreme Aged Sippy Cider carefully hidden somewhere by the nimble ninja fingers of a very young brewing assistant

Almost got a little more insight into unlimited dimension theory in astrophysics;

Pretty sure there is zerk 90d offset fitting adapter in the top specialty tool drawer right next to the swollen glow plug extractor tool. But it was not there today despite 15 min search.

These are real tools by the way, not like blinker fluid dispensers or right handed smoke shifters.

Anyway, it is not there, and or in adjacent drawers in cabinet. This is leading me to believe that I have even been floating between alternate universes that vary so vaguely and boringly, that one wonders if the "higher power(s)" are trying to eff w me. Or is this happening to all of us, and only the astute occasionally notice...The spooky aspect is, that tool was there less than a week ago, so this shift likely recent.

Perhaps this fluidity is normal, and only some. oh ...never mind,

Have a better one...

well this was a random thought, and i've had two drinks.....so maybe still smart?

As i grabbed my digital refrac for testing mash run offs, i was extra careful carrying it because it said distinctly in the manual, "DO NOT DROP IT!!!!"....at first i was laughing about it, being so careful and all because of it...then i got to thinking maybe all hydrometers should have the same warning on them....?

like put it on the paper inside it, bold lettering? "fragile do not drop!!!!" maybe there would be less casualties? lol :mug:

(of course the warning would probably always be facing away from you! ;))

I would REALLY like to think that us mooks who brew have more sense than to think dainty fragile delicate glass objects can be dropped and are "made to take it".

but that was my random thought, do YOU really? or if you were reminded everytime you see it, don't drop this?

edit lol, made for rough conditions and they're 'plain form' so not affraid to look you in the eye! ain't a cheap date though...

My dog understands that people/other dogs have names like most dogs do. So, when she goes to doggy daycare and meets other dogs without being told their names, does she give them a name? Obviously they recognize each other by smell but do they then make up a name in their doggy heads?
