******* hell I don’t want to go to Alaska but i will if i have to

The only place in my town that ever gets PtY tapped their keg right before they closed last night. Now I have to decide if I'm gonna go there and get drunk at 11am or if I'm gonna work in my back yard since it's going to be 60 & sunny today.

Heavily leaning towards yard work.

oh yea. Their baltic porter is really good too, however, they had infection issues in a couple of their darker beers around 2012-2014 which is why Olde Rabbit's Foot was not produced for so long. They are a solid brewery otherwise, good offerings of most of the popular styles back in 2009-2013. I haven't had their stuff in forever, probably worth a shot.

Ahhh now that takes me back. Duck Rabbit Baltic Porter was one of the first beers I ever traded for (I think it was back in 09 or maybe 10). That beer was great, should see if it still is.

Foothills Baltic Porter was also really good, as was Smuttynose.

And that reminds me of Olfabrikken Porter, the best Baltic Porter I ever had. RIP

Why not both?

Go drink one pint and then go do yard work.

Stern but fair. I trust Live Oak to not put out **** so thats the reason I ask.
Ya part of me says,NOOOO Live Oak you are great you dont need to hop on the hype train. Just do you.

The other part says, Live Oak makes consistently awesome beer so I bet this is going to be awesome!

Too bad Im in Houston and wont be able to try it.

I hope if they ever package it they reference the "tradition" of the style as an inspiration the same way they do with all their European year-round beers.

Turns out that's exactly what I did. Wife wanted to get lunch anyway. Did about 1.5 hours of yard work, went to lunch & had 2 pours of PtY and a Blimey That's Bitter, then came home and did more yard work. Now having another beer...
