time for someone to setup the blind tasting of hazy IPA's. not a "we're having a hazy IPA tasting" but a "we're having a tasting" where some are hazy and some are not.
see how people actually judge them without knowing what they're drinking
too much "i can tell these suck based on how they look" and not enough "these suck because they taste bad".
My personal ranking is probably: Weihenstephaner, Ayinger, Tilmans, Andechs, Franziskaner.

Unfortunately, the only way to eliminate the haze/clear bias is to actually blindfold everybody or serve them in sippy cups.
Yeah . . . I'll just stop down the Hofbrauhaus or grab some Hacker-Pschorr or Paulaner at the store. That doesn't even get into Weihenstephan, Schneider, Ayinger, Erdinger, or Franziskaner.
Probably my favorite:

But yeah, nobody can touch the Germans. Schneider is actually my favorite German Brewery. Ignited my love of beer when I went there in College. Aventinus, HopfenWeisse, Edel-Weisse, and their experimental beers....all fantastic.
You're actually herrburgess, aren't you?I'm of the opinion that if you don't like traditional German beer, there is something terribly, terribly wrong with you.

You know what I'd prefer over Live Oak Hefe? Just about every German example of the style I've tried. I feel like this has become a very unpopular opinion.
I do!You don't have to want them, more for me.

It was the Live Oak Lichtenhainer, don't think it has a release date planned. Something different and I thought well done. Hope you enjoyed it.This is the unlabeled can you sent me right shelf_turd_ferguson?
I'd be kinda surprised if any of their smoked beers made it into cans.It was the Live Oak Lichtenhainer, don't think it has a release date planned. Something different and I thought well done. Hope you enjoyed it.

This would be fantastic though. Would bang a good rauchbier in cans.I'd be kinda surprised if any of their smoked beers made it into cans.
Had a few of their smoked offerings a few weeks ago at Live Oak. I didn't find them all that smokey. Nicely delicate for the most part. Crushable.I'd be kinda surprised if any of their smoked beers made it into cans.
This last round I might've pounded an entire 64oz growler in a sitting 3 different times.... it's like 9% ABV....But damn, a canned Weizenbock, color me tickled. Put me down for a few cases, fellas.
Or cans.
Neshaminy Creek makes the best IPAs that I almost never hear anyone talk about outside of PA/NJ.
