Bell's entered CA last year; they just shipped this season's "fresh" Oberon and it is 2 months old.

They are distributed by Craft Beer Guild in SoCal - do you know if that's who has them up there? CBC is the worst, total garbage. Bells did manage to get Hopslam here in 2 weeks so I can't figure out the minimum 2 month old Two Hearted and Oberon. I'm not sure how much of that is CBC and how much Bells.

why 52 days? did you lose a bet and have to drink that many days in a row?
no, sadly the opposite. Doctor recommended I stop drinking (amongst a host of other things) due to some health issues. I can now reintroduce beer to a point.

The freshest Two-Hearted on the shelf here is dated February 28th. So I'm thinking it's a combo of Bell's and all the distributors.

I think those are the largest of the craft segment. There's a barrier to international entry that most of the little guys will never hit; my theory is that many of them will just start cannibalizing sales from each other in the US.

Yeah, my post was half formed. I reckon the reason the big players are making these moves is to get ahead of everyone else. The American market is so competitive and crowded that **** has to blown up eventually. They are diversifying pretty hard right now. Different states, new breweries, different countries.

Looking forward to the infected Handjee rumors.

At least it left a heart-shaped dry spot on the shelf, gotta look on the bright side.

As much as I'm secretly hoping for infected Handjees (Peter Griffin laugh), Brandy DL had explosion problems and wasn't infected at all.

To be honest, I doubt it's Bell's. Their brewery/warehouse are so in tune and on point it's scary. 120, 000 square foot warehouse that mostly sits empty because **** goes out so fast.

Lol. We just started getting bells this week. The cans/bottles we got are dated last week. Can't wait until next year when I see those same cans.

About to go drinking at a beerfest with my dad to kick off Reno beer week.

Weirdest group of beers I've ever seen.

http://strangebrewfestival.com/2016-brewers/

+/- on number of times I hear "What the hell is this ****?" from the old man. . .

I'm gonna set the line at 7.5

Most likely candidates:

Cheez It Pale Ale
Pinchi Kimchi (Sour Kimchi Ale)
Oyster Pirate Imperial Rye Ale (500lbs of oysters, Chipotle Peppers, Cacao Nibs, Vanilla bourbon oak chips and shimmer)
Three Radish Berlinner Weisse
Strawberry Balsamic Basil Ale
Mushroom Provisions
Carrot Ginger
Blueberry Habanero Porter
Gravy and Potato Ale

That reddish beer would be interesting. And blueberry habanero could be good, or terrible.
