very happy to hear that... most certainly gonna be ISOCognac Abyss is outstanding.
I'm actually rewriting the db in php/codeigniter/mysql/bootstrap for the web as a way to teach myself the technology, I should be able to offer it to a wider audience that way.
I thought it tasted like nail polish remover.Cognac Abyss is outstanding.
It isn't packaged, but Breck did an imperial Porter aged in rum barrels for their 26 or 27th anniversary, I had a pour today and that **** almost rotted my teeth out. Breckenridge brewey; still trying to make the worst beers in Denver
Randomly have become kind of obsessed w/ brandy & cognac barrel aged beers. Maybe it's a cold weather thing, I dunno.... but any recommendations of stuff I should chase that isn't gonna be a nightmare to obtain?

If it's this, it is packaged and I had it last night. Not great, but it didn't threaten to corrode my teeth.
Weird it didn't have vanilla on the keg label but it very well could be. On draft it was so insanely sweet and I dont have a big sweet tooth but didn't refuse a poor from the comely bar wench.

If you want to try a beer where the apply brandy character is REALLY front and center, you should try to get your hands on Captain Lawrence Golden Delicious or Voodoo Apple Brandy Gran Met. They are both tripels aged in apple brandy barrels. I believe that Golden Delicious is a seasonal release and comes around at least somewhat often. AB Gran Met has only been released twice (a few hundred bottles or so each time) at Barrel Room releases, so it may be a little tough to get, but it's hardly the most sought after Voodoo BA beer, so I have to think you may be able to get your hands on one.
As a disclaimer, I am a big fan of both of these beers, but friends who shared them with me didn't necessarily share my enthusiasm.
I'll happily send you a sixer of the CL GD, they just switched from bomber to 12 oz. I'm a fan of the beer, but I need to be in the mood for it as it is SUPER AB forward. Just pm me your deets and I will get it out next week for you.

Maybe the years have done it some good though?
If he doesn't want it, can I beg for it IP when I'm in New York in a week?I'll happily send you a sixer of the CL GD, they just switched from bomber to 12 oz. Lol. **** off. Red or Green both are not really delicious. And the apple she's throwing in that scene is a Red Delicious! Thinking about that makes me realize I've spent nearly 1/3 of my life working in produce, which is kind of depressing.

Yeah I really don't like Red Delicious. Such a boring ass apple. I'm indifferent on Golden's, but both are inferior to so many other varieties.
You get Pink Lady's over there? That's the ****. Nothing comes close.
I've got Pink Lady's nearly year round. Good apple that I regularly recommend. Have you had Honeycrisp, Jazz or Opal Gold?
On a somewhat related note, we recently got a ton of Australian Mangoes. Calypso, R2E2 and Honey Gold varieties. Those things are incredible, some of the best mangoes I've ever had.
