Just got #myfirstdishwasher and put all glassware in there, zfg.

I assume ownership of a dishwasher in January and I'm very excited about it. Don't think I'll be putting my glassware in there, though.

#newdishwashermoney here too!

For the record, I regularly drink out of shaker pints because I don't care if I put those in the dish washer or break them.

I have a "workhorse shelf" of two tekus (my wife's prefered glass), a tulip, a snifter and willi bechers. All of which could be easily replaced and all go in the dishwasher. Fancy/rare ones all for proper only and handwashed.

I realized how dumb it was to handwash daily drinkers.

I may love the WBs more than most people do.

My family goes with "designer" beer, makes me feel classy.
I just got the email for the large family Christmas party we do every year. Everyone is asked to bring something. The exact words were "Wine or strange beer". Apparently their definition of strange beer is anything that isn't BMC.
I feel like I didn't clarify. I was the one asked to bring "wine or strange beer".

What's the most vile and/or high alcohol Texas shelf beer I can bring?

Someone on the forum mentioned that some big brewery did hop flavour/alpha acid degradation experiments to determine how long "fresh" hop flavours lasted after bottling/canning, and the results were along the lines that the first big drop-off in flavour is 3 days after bottling/canning, then there is generally not much difference until the next drop-off point after about 3 months.

Is this true or just made up beer bro science? I've been looking for a link but I've come up with bupkes. What do you say, neck beard swarm?

That sounds similar to something I said. I can't find the original charts but it was definitely SN.

I found this cached blog referencing the research but not the original research.

I want to say this was Sierra Nevada maybe?

Maple Bacon tickets on sale today.... I'm still on the fence about it. I didn't like the beer much at all last year, but it would be nice to get some bottles to LIF.
Considering how many bottles there were last year and that fewer people will attend this year, I'll bet there are leftover bottles. I enjoyed the event last year, but with $15 entry fee and no bottle sharing, I'll pass.

Yeah that's a good point, I think they had leftovers last year too.

Just drank straight up, prolly supermarket-tier sherry for the first time and now I'm desperately wondering how I could possibly pull a Sherry Zhukov and/or Shatrial.

If you're actually serious, you may want to wait until mid-December when Wicked Weed releases Angel of Darkness. 11% dark sour aged in sherry barrels with blackberries, boysenberries, raspberries, and cherries. It's 6 or 12 per person depending on what pre-purchase option you bought, or 6 per person for the public lineup sale, so there should be lots of it out there and people who get it will have lots of bottles (unlike the other two you mentioned) so it may be easier to acquire.

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A man has been arrested and taken to the hospital after stealing a beer truck and running himself over trying to elude police.

Around 5:45 a.m. on Monday, Columbus Police responded to the Circle K on the 1400 block Veterans Pkwy. where a man stole a Coors Light beer truck.

The suspect led police on a chase, which ended at the Bojangles restaurant on Victory Dr.

The suspect, 55-year-old Gregory Miller, jumped out of the semi-truck attempting to elude police. He jumped out of the semi-truck, and ran over his own leg. Miller was caught on the scene.

Miller was taken to Midtown Medical Center and is currently in unsatisfactory condition with a severe ankle injury.

Once released CPD Major J.D. Hawk says he will face theft by taking a motor vehicle and eluding police. Police think it was left running during a delivery.

“Officers put out a broadcast on the beer truck at which time it was later discovered operating on Victory Drive," Hawk said.

A brief high speed chase ended with the suspect crashing into a fence behind the restaurant.

“I was in my kitchen drinking coffee and I heard it. So I came to the door to see what it was and all I could see was the back of the truck and there were a whole lot of Police cars,” says Virginia Sanders who lives right across the street from Bojangles.

Sanders says she had no idea she was looking at the aftermath of a high speed chase.

According to police, the suspect did not put the truck in park so when he got out he ended up getting run over by it causing severe injuries to his ankle.

We called the Coors corporate office to ask them about their policy when it comes to leaving a truck running during deliveries, and they have not returned our calls.
