The one I’ve had was better than about 90% of the hazy IPAs I’ve had. There is nothing new or interesting about them.
Not sure if that’s really a compliment or not.

Like, it’s a bad version of a Russian River-style IPA, but even drier? Which accommodates, uh, things. The one I’ve had was better than about 90% of the hazy IPAs I’ve had.

Considering I can’t go to Russian River multiple times a week anymore, I’ll take it.Like, it’s a bad version of a Russian River-style IPA, but even drier? Which accommodates, uh, things.

Wrong about the very well carbed. It’s spritzy. I don’t know. I’d much rather have a dry-hopped Saison or a West Coast IPA. Nothing wrong the best thing but nothing’s terribly interesting either.Disclaimer, I have not yet had a Brut IPA.
In my mind, it sounds like a saison made with an american ale yeast (IE low esters if any and no phenolics), that is very dry, very well carbed, and has lots of dry hops.
Right or wrong?
I'm intrigued if only because I'm a curmudgeon when it comes to NE IPA.
Ommegang bowing to our Lord and Savior Shaun Hill
Here is what was originally on the label
So calling something a "Farmstead Ale" is stepping on Shaun's toes, eh?

Exactly. Basically if Shaun doesn't go after other people using his trademark, he can have his trademark overturned for failure to protect.Farmstead is trademarked to HF
My bad I didn't know "Farmstead" was trademarked. I'll just Homer into the bushes now.

"We want to cash in on Hill Farmstead's popularity but have a marginal excuse for an out."What the hell was "farmstead ale" supposed to mean in the first place?
Need dat AquavitI'm sitting at work tying up some loose ends before the Holiday weekend.
My father is at the brewery he works at tasting out barrel aged stout variants for their anniversary party next weekend. Apparently his preference order is 2 Year Barrel Aged, Coconut Rum Barrel Aged, Bourbon Barrel Aged, Aquavit Barrel Aged, Blueberry Bourbon Barrel Aged and Raspberry Bourbon Barrel Aged.

Should have changed it to Farmestead Ale instead.
