can i rack hot water with my raking kane? was thinking boiling water

Yes, for sure....once. Beyond that you need to define what you mean by "hot water". One of my friends thinks 120F is hot and your racking cane can handle that. I tend to think of "hot" as being close to boiling and the plastic racking cane will not withstand that for long. You also didn't mention which racking cane as some are made of stainless steel which have no problems with hot water.
 
Be careful handling and moving hot water. Unexpected things can happen, potentially causing scalding or severe burns.

When hot, plastic parts and (vinyl) tubing become soft and deform. Hoses (even ones with clamps) may suddenly pop off due to that. Speaking of experience.
