I am about to start my second batch tonight and noticed that my primary bucket still has a strong odor from the first batch. I cleaned again and still the smell of the first batch. will this give any flavours that I don't want in the new batch?

Ignore the odor unless it smells like something rotten. (beer smell OK, rotten may mean bacteria etc.)

The buckets will hold some of the beer smell but it will not hurt the new batch.
