Once again I got the wrong store bought cider. I got 4 gallons with potassium sorbate. Is it worth trying to ferment it or should I not wast my time?

Bummer. The preservative is made to prevent fermentation, so unfortunately it won't work.

You could still use it for something though! You could freeze it and, by freezing you could extract concentrate to use for back sweetening.

I did [almost] the same thing. The major difference is that I mixed everything together before I realized that it's not okay to have potassium sorbate.
