also plan on having breakfast at Broder one morning, dinner at Pok Pok one evening, and lunches at Hair of the Dog, Cascade & either Pfriem or Double Mountain

and of course can't wait to hit up the Alder Food Cart Hub

This is a great list. If I were you, I'd also go up to Breakside and have lunch. I might actually go to Breakside over Hair of the Dog or Cascade and would do drinks at those places instead.

Edit: Also Broder is really good. I would also suggest Tasty and Sons, Pine State, or Accanto for brunch

I've been specifically picking breweries with decent-looking food menus so that my (sober) wife will have something to do while I suck down a couple beers. But Breakside, ok. Check.

It just depends what you are looking for. They are very different. Full Disclosure, Breakside is a bit up in North Portland so not sure if you feel like a bit of trek, but its a nice way to get out of the main hub.

I'm honestly kind of burnt out on HotD, though. So YMMV.

Just went to both this weekend. Lunch at DM, dinner at pFriem. Had an awesome asparagus pizza at DM. Was served under cooked chicken at pFriem . They were cool about it though. Got another plate quickly and they didn't charge us for it. Also, the Down Under IPA there is awesome.

Completely agree with going to Breakside, if only so you don't break the bank drinking. Breakside also has good food, and a homebrewer's discount if you're a member.

Another vote for accanto, bonus points if you make a reservation. There's nothing better than not waiting for brunch in Portland...

I tell everyone that a bottle of 2013 Matt at HotD is the best $18 you can spend in Portland. Also the pastrami is perfect.

I finally got my trip finalized with work, going to be flying in this Saturday solo since my work took forever to purchase me a flight.

That said, anything noteworthy happening, beer-wise, this weekend that I should attend? I was thinking of renting a car and heading to Tilamook & then the coast, especially if de garde releases some other beers by this weekend. Otherwise I'll be checking out places recommended in this thread every night, so if you want to meet up for a beer, PM me.

DG is never a bad idea. Ever.

Also, though people may fight me for saying this, I think HOTD's dual Adam from the Wood release will definitely be worth stopping at, starting at 10am Sat. Maybe even stop by there Sunday for lunch when it will be a little more chill.

Otherwise not sure what else is dropping this weekend. Upright is always a good stop. Lots of great 'not specific to this weekend' suggestions earlier in the thread.

This is going back a bit in this thread, but I did end up going to Toro Bravo for my anniversary dinner, and it was fantastic.

I went in assuming we'd have to wait for quite a while to get a table, and we ended up getting one in 10 minutes. I was advised to go for the chefs sampler plate, and we were feeling adventurous, so we went for it

We ended up getting an 11 course meal, with seasonal vegetables and other ingredients. The highlights were seared scallops, a smoked Coppa steak, and Ox tail croquettes fried in cinnamon and chocolate (those were my favorites). With a pitcher of amazing sangria, our bill was $105, which is pricey, but also one of the cheapest anniversary dinners I've ever paid for, especially when factoring in quality and quantity (I could barely walk out of the place after all that food).

I would highly recommend eating there for any visitors or locals who haven't been there yet.
