Yeah, no, none of that stuff is worth that much.
truly worth those amounts? doubtful
I'm talking cost for GN to get these items made and repackage/resell them including their margin of profit. value is subjective, but each piece of the set is custom so GN is also passing that higher cost per item onto the consumer. they could probably release an identical $60 box set if they were interested in fuzzy hearts instead of making money.

All the extra merch is just there because they don’t have the guts to just straight up charge $62.50 per bottle

For real everything in that box (including the beer for that matter) looks janky as ****.

someone already turned their future box into $700 (minus cost, minus psychic pain of waiting in the cold for hours), so there's that

Someone made the comment on BA that "This is going to be a rent money grab for a lot of people."

That's kind of sad to think about. Relying on a limited release beer for your survival.

Without commentary on the state of affairs, I think that if it's between me enjoying a beer and someone earnestly needing this to survive, I'd let it go to them.

I don't think it's really "relying" on it I think it's just easier to sit in line and get drunk than get a real job.

New money rich boys camping out in December in industrial Portland dropping absurd money on some stupid bottles, while we have ******* people left to sleep outside who those people wouldn't look at in the eyes, let alone give a dollar to. Just absurd and somewhat pathetic honestly.

So sounds like the Great Notion BBDS release went pretty smoothly. Sorry Seattle, you still own the **** show release title with the Holy Mountain releases.

Since Holy Mountain has told people to stop drinking in line things have improved. Sad that people couldn’t figure it out on their own.

Still can’t believe (well, I can) someone got drunk and hit someone’s parked car leaving after a release a while back.

Just had a few hoppy beers & a whiskey/port BA Barleywine at Von Ebert. I don’t really dig that space, but the beers were all on point.
Apparently they’ve got a new location that they’re going to be focusing on saison/wilds etc. Seems promising to me.
Their new location is at a golf course. I'm very confused as to why they chose that location as the one to focus on wild ales, but what do I know.

My wife was probably there at the same time watching Purdue get destroyed. Also, text me homie. Let's get a beer.

Jason from SARA is going to be brewing at the new space :D I just worked there the past four years (helped open Fat Head’s, same ownership) and just quit about a month ago, mostly because I prefer bartending to serving tables and I’m at Bailey’s full time now.

That is an odd decision for sure. I’m fairly certain they have the former head brewer from SARA signed on to that project though. Should be cool.
Edit: what falc0n2600 said.

I thought it was the former Commons brewer Sean Burke brewing there.
