Poo karma

A guy new to the neighborhood lets his dog go wherever and just walks away. When I saw him in my backyard I yelled out the window, "You gonna pick that up?". He said " I'll get a bag". Surprisingly he did.
Yesterday when we came home from the store there was a German Shepard roaming around the neighborhood. He took a dump right in front of this guy's house before wandering off.

Dogs tend to return to the same spot based on smell. Our neighbors are pretty cool and they have a sweet old dog named Lucy. She loves to dump in our front yard that the wife works hard to keep looking like a putting green. She was threatening to have words with them about it - so, instead of harshing the vibe, I shoveled up the evidence and began depositing it in a remote corner of their front yard. Dogs come from blocks around to crap there now. I heard them the other day griping about some dog pooping on their driveway. Paybacks are hell.

I should have my neighbor send over his little Boston terrier to help. That dog has a bad case of copraphagia--loves to eat poop. Neighbor has 2 other dogs. When he lets them out into his back yard, little Caca Bandito waits patiently for one of the others to drop a deuce, then swoops in to feast.

I should have my neighbor send over his little Boston terrier to help. That dog has a bad case of copraphagia--loves to eat poop. Neighbor has 2 other dogs. When he lets them out into his back yard, little Caca Bandito waits patiently for one of the others to drop a deuce, then swoops in to feast.

There are several dog walkers in my neighborhood. I've never seen one of them not pick up after their dog. That said, if it's trash day, one lady will untie my trash bags at the curb to throw her dog poop away in. I don't know why that bothers me. It's the rudest responsible thing I've ever witnessed. There's bigger things in life to fret over so I just let it be.

Don't get me started on cats though. Using my flowerbed as their own toilet paradise. Gawd, I hate cats.

I had that conversation with a former neighbor who liked to put bags of trash into mine if hers were full. I pulled out those bags, carried them to her doorstep and rang the bell. When she answered I said, "I think you left these." I told her that if she had asked me first I would've allowed her to bring some over, but if I saw her sneaking stuff into my bins again I'd have her charged with theft of services. Never had a problem again.

We had a guy that used to park in front of our house a lot where we used to live. Would not have minded if he stayed on the street but his tires were normally 3 feet onto the grass and it was creating a dead spot from wear and oil drips. So I found a large rock and put it there. He parked there again but had to move back a bit. I added another rock. He actually moved them the next time and if I had been home I would have probably confronted the guy. Instead I replaced them with a 200lb rock I had to move with a wheel barrow. Never happened again. Rock was still there when we moved.

We have in-ground sprinklers that take care of that sort of thing. Same neighbor I mentioned above also had party guests over who liked to park with their wheels a few feet onto my lawn. Nice cars, too. I just start up zone 7 of my irrigation system and their cars get a free car wash with nasty hard water. Guy came running out of neighbor's house, yelling, "that's my car!" Me: "sorry, dude, guess it's parked too close to my sprinklers. My bad."

I can always send my dog over to keep that from happening. He's freaking mean as hell. He tears into the other dogs like nothing. Wolves and coyotes piss them shelves, shaking when they spot him. There's warning flyers throughout UPS and FedEx warning drivers about my house (this is why I none of my stuff gets to me in a timely manner...). Five squirrels have been murdered in the last 6 months, and three other squirrels and a couple of rabbits are in ptsd meetings because of my dog.

Pretty big dog? Nah, he's not big at all . He's just a 17lb miniature schnauzer..........
