I got to try Siberian Highway recently. Was pretty impressed. It was super creamy, nice amount of bourbon and cinnamon. Pretty balanced beer and would probably rank it above DoubleMex I liked it that much. Definitely would like to get another bottle.

Good to hear another opinion on this. I wasn't too surprised though, as it's a great base impy stout, but doesn't get much love.

Get Trillium instead and thank us later. It's not to say that Tree House isn't good, but Trillium is just as good and 100x easier to get.

I wanna get some of that too.

or just drink BG

I drink BG endlessly. Still want some.

I actually havent gotten out there to get some akamai yet. Might scoot out there on monday

How good are you at suspending disbelief?

Next time you're drinking at BG, just close your eyes and pretend its Treehouse. It will be a better experience than if you were actually drinking Treehouse. And maybe that will satisfy the urge.

Our boy needs to tick, I get it, we've all been there. Nothing wrong with Tree House either, just not worth the effort required IMO.

I need a can of Live Oak Hefe for science and sex, any of you dudes know how to score one? I'll pay cash.

Pittsburgher living in Dallas, so if you ever need any goodies from Texas, just let me know. I go to Jester King regularly and I'm an American Solera Society member as well.

I'm heading to Jester King tomorrow for the Spon variant release. I'm not going to max out my allotment because 375 ml bottles are $25 a pop. So, if anyone is interested in the other 4 bottles that I am going to forgo, PM me to set something up.

i'd really like a single bottle of the grape one. i'll pitch up if anyone else wants the other three. $25/375ml is a real bummer though.

Nice offer...

You should ping this dude. No Pittsburgh relation that I'm aware of, but his post seemed pretty sincere.

i've had two jester king beers with wine grapes, biere de syrah and bier de blanc du bois (or whatever), and they were both exceptional. i'm sure this one is just as good.
I hope they do bier de lenoir again. Blanc du bois was my fav until i had de lenoir both are fantastic but lenoir Made me drool. Side note. I bought my wife a bottle of wine made with blanc du bois grapes while in Texas a months or so back. It was freaking great too.

I thought the BDBDB (Butt Dick Butt Dick Butt) was horrid. Chlorine for days. MVB, Fen Tao, and Atrial are all pretty good, but anything else I've had from them was decent at best IMO.

Just joined up here because I'm moving to Pittsburgh in a couple of months and this seems to be the best Pittsburgh beer forum/thread/etc. I'm sure I'll mostly be lurking until I actually move and settle in, but a couple quick questions first:

I'll be heading over to Pittsburgh this weekend for the week. Last time I was in the area I hit Dancing Gnome, Grist House, Draai Laag, Church, Fatheads, and Wigle whiskey. This time I'm planning on getting to Brew Gentlemen, Voodoo, and Hitchhiker. Any other must visits? Also, I'm planning on bringing some stuff out with me, any bottle shares or similar type things? I'd love to share some of what we have and get to try some of what Pittsburgh has to offer that I might otherwise not get to.

Last question, what is the good word on new breweries coming in? I know of Trios and Eleventh Hour, are there any others?

Thanks in advance for any tips.
